Center for Schools and Communities
Resource Clearinghouse
The Center for Schools and Communities Resource Clearinghouse is a searchable database of books, videos, white papers, speakers, web sites and other resources focused to assist those who are serving children, families and communities.
Since 1988, the Center for Schools and Communities has served as the central repository for resources and best practices for those serving children and families throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Resource Clearinghouse was developed as an outgrowth of our lending library of over 5,000 resources. For more information on the Center for Schools and Communities, please use the links provided above.
The Resource Clearinghouse database is being continuously enhanced with new materials that are evaluated and added on a weekly basis.
Begin using the Resource Clearinghouse
When you are unsure of what you are searching for (example: not sure of correct resource title, speaker or organization name), use the search box at the top left of the page to perform a simple search.
You can choose to limit your search to a specific resource category (library, speaker, web site or document) by selecting the appropriate category from the dropdown menu. Alternatively, you may choose to search all available resource categories by choosing 'All Resources' from the same dropdown menu.
In the box below the dropdown menu, type the keywords you would like to search on (example: subject or topic, partial title or name). This type of broad search will find all available resources matching your criteria.
When you are searching for specific information and have detailed criteria, use the advanced search options.
Information and help on performing successful searches are provided on the Search Tips page.
